We all would like more money and to quit the 9 to 5, but how many of us actually give it a real go, I don't mean a half-hearted attempt at getting rich, like the lottery or some $99 get rich internet Ebook. I mean a real totally devoted attempt at getting rich.
What people don't seem to realise is that getting rich is but a game, think of it as a sub game in the game of life. Few people choose to play that game because it's either too hard (at first) or they choose to think it's above them.
What is the difference between a rich man and the average man, physically nothing they are both human, so it comes down to mentality.
Rich Mentality: A deep desire to fulfil ones true potential. You must want to succeed with every bone in your body. It must not just be a minor belief that you want more, but a craving for more riches.
You have to be fearless in your pursuit for getting rich. Most people think that rich people are born with silver spoons in their mouth or are just plain lucky. I categorically deny this, and believe that being rich comes from the core.
I would put my house on the likelyhood that if you took Bill Gates and transported him back into the 1920s, he would find a way to be rich in that time. Most people would rather play, what I call the game of mediocrity.
The game of mediocrity is what 98% of people play in this developed world, they are born, get educated, get a job, work for 50 years, during that time they get a wife, kids, have a mid life crisis, save a little, then retire and that's if you're lucky.
The game of mediocrity is like playing the change machine in a casino, you know exactly what you're going to get, why, because you are not in control, someone else decides your wage, when you work, when you play and when you retire (sounds boring right?).
The other 2% play the game of getting rich, in this game there is no rule book, no person telling you what to do, what time to come in, when to leave for lunch and when you can get that pay rise. It's all down to you if you want to WIN (truth is anyone can do it).
The majority of people find this so scary that they go right back to mediocrity, but the few that keep playing and keep persevering will eventually reach the conclusion to the game.
Instead of investing only thoughts into getting rich, they invest YEARS of action rather than procrastination.
And what do they achieve for their efforts the obvious answer is riches right? WRONG its time, time to really pursue their goals. Time is 100 times more valuable than riches, you don't want to be 70 and wish you had more time to fulfil your potential.
So ask yourself which game would you rather play?
